What's a DQ?
DQ stands for "Disqualification" and refers to quitting a race in progress. Some DQs are intentional, while others happen because of bad internet or network errors.
DQs don’t affect your WPM or Accuracy, which is probably the main reason some players quit races on purpose. It allows them to avoid bad results and preserve better stats.
Because of this, DQs can skew a racer's stats and present an idealized version of their typing skills. That’s why the game penalizes excessive DQing.
What are the disadvantages of a DQ?
If your DQ rate is 10% or higher, you’ll be excluded from the WPM and Accuracy leaderboards (based on the number of races completed during the corresponding period).
Your Wednesday Blitzes will be considered failed after 5 DQs.
DQs break your perfect accuracy streaks.
They count as a failure for any quest challenge that includes the keyword "consecutive."
