Fish are some of the most unique and beautiful animals around. The appearances range wildly, from the koi fish with its beauty and long life span, to the clownfish, which is known for its stripes and for the amounts of fame brought to it from the popular movie Finding Nemo. The goldfish is very popular for its vibrant colors and being much easier to take care of for beginners. A fish that isn't as well known is the mandarinfish, which has vibrant colors that signal to other animals that it is dangerous to eat. The barreleye has bright green eyes that can be seen through its transparent forehead, which can move from looking up to forward as it searches for prey. Another fish is the ocean sunfish, who love to eat jellyfishes and of which the females can produce over three hundred million eggs at one time! One fish is often named nature's deadliest sniper, the archerfish. This fish shoots extremely accurate water jets at prey from up to three meters away to knock insects that may be in the air or on ground into the water, where the fish can eat them. The elephantnose fish have electric organs that are able to cast electric signals that can be detected and understood by them using their electric sensors. These signals that are used to communicate are very similar to the way bats use sonar. An extremely unique looking fish is the leafy seadragon, with its shape helping it to look like floating seaweed. All of these fishes have unique qualities, from their vibrant colors, to their hunting abilities, and the ways they talk to each other. Through these, we can find beauty in these animals and truly appreciate them for what they are.
